Donna Colson

For Burlingame City Council
District 4

Mayor
Donna Colson's Story

Twenty-five years ago, our family moved to Burlingame because we were enchanted with its tree-lined streets, outstanding schools, beautiful downtowns, safe neighborhoods, ample recreation, walkability and sense of community. I cherish knowing our neighbors and feel the pride we all have in our city. This is why I serve you as Mayor and am committed to keeping Burlingame a vibrant, diverse and welcoming city that is livable and beloved by residents and visitors alike.

For the last nine years, I have had the opportunity to serve the city of Burlingame as an At-Large Councilmember and two time Mayor. We have accomplished much important work, but there is more to be done. I am running for the newly created District 4 seat to continue my work on the Council and advance City goals including completing the El Camino Real Renovation Project, securing funding for Broadway Grade Separation, continuing work on our climate agenda to protect Burlingame from floods and rising seas, exploring water recycling, and increasing community engagement.  My focus continues to be on responsibly managing our city finances, ensuring a clean and safe city, and providing outstanding services for today and into the future.

I have a proven record of strong, sensible leadership and am asking for your vote on November 5, 2024.

Building a Better Burlingame

One of my first priorities on council was to reimagine a new community center that could welcome families, seniors and everyone looking to connect with our city. The Burlingame Community Center was completed in 2022 and now welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

I  have also focused on building new housing to meet state mandates, updating infrastructure such as streets and sidewalks, providing programs to facilitate our carbon reductions goals, diversifying our revenue sources through economic development and creating services that care for our residents and welcome all to Burlingame.
